Two 20-tonne castings!
Published on November 4, 2024
In Loroux-Bottereau, two 20-ton pours carried out with expertise and coordination.
On June 10 and November 4, 2024, the teams cast a bulb weighing:
- 20 tons for a major player in luxury shipbuilding.
- 21 tons for a company specializing in the engineering and manufacture of aeronautical solutions.
To successfully complete these complex operations, meticulous preparation was required, involving the manufacture of a sand mold and preparation for the melting process. The casting itself, although short in duration (approximately 2 hours), required coordination between the various people involved. Four employees were directly involved in these projects, supported by operational technical assistance from an electrician and a maintenance technician. These exceptional castings also required round-the-clock supervision for the following 72 hours.
These technical feats are a testament to the skill and commitment of the teams.
